Paula SHORT Obituary

I have recently heard of Paula's passing having lost touch since moving out of Rotorua. I worked with Paula at Lake's High. She was a wonderful person, kind, caring and honest, I was doing my psychology internship and she provided a listening ear and much support. My heart goes to Roger, her children and grandchildren who will really be missing her - she would talk about you all often. Peace.

Recently my mother informed me of Paulas passing which she learnt while she was attending a rosary at St Mary's church Rotorua. Although 50 odd years have gone by since I was at school at Edmund Rice College with Roger and also Paula at Mckillop college I was sad to hear of Paulas passing. May Jesus welcome Paula into his kingdom and also give Roger the support he needs for this sad time. We will remember Paula and Roger in our many prayers. I am heart broken for Roger, Caleb, Renee, Callan & Sophie. What a woman she was. Sending all of my love. Rest in peace, Paula xx

Paula was such an amazing person, with a wicked sense of humour. She was my kindy teacher ~45 years ago and then babysitter and then I also babysat her kids. So many fond memories, deepest condolences and love to Roger and the whanau. Love Kate (Donald)

What a shock. I was Paula's professional supervisor for a number of years when she was at Lakes. A thoroughly wonderful human being and nothing but aroha for her students.

Am sorry to hear the passing of your Wife my condolences to you your family has along history with my Dad Pieter van den Akker I am his oldest son Robert van den Akker
