Saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I remember him as a smart and well read person. His opinions were always well considered and as I discovered enlightening. Paul was a excellent workmate and I will remember our interactions.
Gary Foote's referral to Paul's appellation. It is nothing sinister. We all had nicknames; Reptile, Skull, Hit-man, Jabba the Hutt. At first glace we could have been a motorcycle gang instead of a group of government employees. Condolences to Paul's family and friends from all the ex Westfield railway staff outside of the Auckland region.

I knew Paul affectionately known forever as mad dog to all his rail mates. We shared some adventures both on and off the job but lost touch when I transferred. Paul was the sort of mate that would stand by you through thick or thin .Good bye mate, condolences to his partner and family

R.I.P Paul aka Traindriver, we were flatmates at the infamous Patts Ave, good friends with a love of good times, and sports. We did lose touch for a long time, but when I caught up with him a couple of years ago, it was like time had not passed.
My deepest condolences to Paul's family.
