Paul was my teachers' training college lecturer in the late 1970s. As a teacher straight out of the classroom, we loved his practical and innovative ideas and the enthusiasm for teaching that he imparted. Over the years I incorporated many of his ideas in my own classroom.
I recognised his pottery in a gallery in Thames a few years back as similar to the many quirky cartoon figures that adorned all the handouts and ideas he provided for us. His originality and creativity inspired many in education. My condolences to his family.
