Paul was a long long-time friend of my family's. I first met him when I was in highschool in New York City in the 80s. I remember running into him on a beautiful sunny day in Central Park. He and Helen, who had recently become close, were sitting on the green green grass together. I stopped and talked and as I always would, enjoyed Helen's beautiful Scottish accent and gentle demeanor. Paul spent many a day and night doing work with my father followed by playing guitar, singing and sharing a drink by the fireplace. He was always lovely and respectful and kind to me, his friends' daughter. A smart, gracious man with his own road to follow it seems. I am so sorry he is gone -- too soon. This gutted me. Paul always went out of his way to be involved in anything creative. He was an expert wizard with calculations and always tried to see the best in people. This is sad news. :(

I Only just found out today.3/12/2015

Paul was a friend we were lucky to have known him, not only was he kind hearted & would help anyone who needed help but he had a wicked sense of humour. Paul had love of music & musicians both my Wife Ann & I will never forget this Gentle man Paul Francis Felton, he leaves a huge hole in our world.
I posted this poem I wrote for him on My Face Book.
For Paul
I'm sitting here with pain-filled chest & clouded eye watching all thats left of life slip bye, it's never easy watch friends pass it's like drinking from an empty glass. The bitter sweet taste of youth has gone & all thats left is a dimly lit dawn filled with memories of better times if only we had read between the lines in younger times.

Miss You Mate Will & Ann

I worked with Paul in NYC for 20 years; he was responsible for my first job while I was at Auckland University, and responsible for me moving to the US when I graduated. A warm, kind, generous guy, first boss then colleague then best man at my wedding, always curious about the next new thing. I'm sorry I didn't know about the memorium, but I'm glad I found this posting.

A very fond farewell to our dear Uncle Paul. All my memories of him are fond ones - we'll miss him greatly but are comforted by the thought that he is now pain-free and possibly watching the cricket with Poppa Felton. Lots of love.

We shared the same birthday
Tho 12 years apart
A special bond we did form
That was close to my heart
You rocked me to sleep
When I was a wee babe
I thought you were here to keep
Much longer than this!
Farewell my dear brother
No longer in pain
I'll miss your dear face
And our family will never be the same!
Love your sister TD xxx

I was saddened to hear the news of Uncle Paul's passing. More so being so far away from home. A great man with plenty of wisdom and advice to offer. Thoughts with Jenny, Cathy, Angela and family. RIP Uncle.

Goodbye To Our Dad
Goodbye Dad, we had to say
A few months ago on a warm summers day
We will remember the good times and try not to be sad
But saying goodbye still hurts so bad
We miss you more then we can express
Our love for you will never grow less
We keep trying to picture moving on
Words fall short for us to rely upon
Our faith in God has kept us strong
We know you're in heaven above
Looking down on us with all your love
Only to whisper in our ear's
Remember that I'll never stop loving you all, don't fear
We will always recall the fun times we had
The times at Takapuna and Kawau, make us glad
Remember the man, our unique Dad
And all the distinctive gifts , that he had
We will remember you each and every day
And if we need to talk to you, we will just sit down and pray.

Paul is one of my favorite people in the world. Years ago when working together at The Henry Luce Foundation, I asked Paul if he could help my mom with some computer troubles. Little did I know that they would become close and continue to be close for many years. My mother is Ginger Torcivia and she cared very much for our friend Paul. He never forgot my birthday and he could always make me laugh. I will miss him and remember him fondly.
