Always and immediately likeable, top sense of humour, had an open ear for all conversations....easy to see Paul would make a significant difference to young players. Glad to have known you. For the brief friendship, Paul, thankyou.

Dear Zed/Uncle Zed, thanks for being part of our lives - the times we spent together were all good times. This is the song I sang to you the other day (badly) and I mucked up the last line!
Kia tau kia tatou katoa
Te Atawhai o to tatou ariki A Ihu Karaiti
me te aroha o te Atua
Me te whiwhinga tahitanga
Ki te wairau tapu ake ake Amine.
Take it with you and fly free - Ma te wa e hoa.
Thank you very night and good much!!

Paul I will miss our visits and our long chats. Taking you to beach and just sitting drinking our smoothie's. You were a brave soul and life was becoming a struggle with your pain. You are now free of pain so Rest In Peace my friend. Till we meet again. Lynne xx

EWING, Paul Zanoah. To the dear Handyman of Drums - your life was an amazing hit song that will keep on playing. You always gave your time and shared your music passion with us all, and it was a joy talking and playing with you. Such a talented, kind, fun and supportive musician/friend. Thanks for being the best drummer in the 'Sweet 16' days of band gigs and album recording. Will treasure those memories forever. What a blessing to know your special music legacy will live on through the songs of your students too. Love from Holly Christina and family.

EWING, Paul Zanoah (Zed). Passed peacefully on 29 May 2018 with the same amazing grace and dignity he always showed in life. Beloved Elder Statesman, Champion, and musical genius of the only Tour that matters. You made beautiful music (always), kept us in tune (somehow) and hit all the high notes (with ease!). You will be deeply missed but always one of us and with us in spirit. We will drain the LG Trophy dry in your honour every year while reminiscing your singing the high parts to "Nights On Broadway" and drumming it perfectly on the back-of-the-seat- of-the-van… With love and respect Brother Zed, from Your LG Brothers.
