Where to begin? Paul was a friend and a mentor, not to mention a great running mate with Banksie many years ago now. Paul´s quick wit was always inclusive, never nasty, and he was wonderful company. What a contribution Paul made to his country. He will be missed a lot. Condolences to Lyn and the family.

Farewell my old friend. We shared good times in Rotorua bringing up young families, erecting the original "bach" on Rotoiti, fishing and socialising. Later on in semi-retirement playing golf regularly and in season receiving your plucked ducks from Braemar. I will miss your good humour and friendship. Condolences to Lyn and the girls. Rest in peace Paul. Bernie Lunn and Debbi Thyne

Memories of the vibrant coffee room at Pembridge in the late 1960's, the then Law School at Auckland University, the chance meeting on the Haymarket in London in 1972 (and Law School seemed like yesterday), meeting up in the Wellington airport or at Rotorua functions, all in the course of disparate professional journeys .... always a kind word, almost always some banter, and often a joke or two. Great memories of a thoroughly good bloke. Sad to see he has suffered and gone too young.

Simply the best friend one could ever have , loyal to a fault , so generous , forgiving and just kindly .
A daily waterfront running mate , mostly the slowest but certainly with the best humour !
Twig was very smart and understanding with us slower learners ..... he always had your back and was always there when needed .
A life well lived , a very good man , a true Patriot .
Lyn you have been a trooper , lots of love at this time of sadness .
Paul´s arrival has made Heaven an even better place .
