MURIEL ROSS Obituary

MURIEL ELEANOR ROSS Passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in her 105th year. She survived her parents and all fifteen siblings. Muriel's happy childhood was spent in her beloved Mt. Albert, Ontario, where her parents, Henry and Winnifred Ross ran the general store and post office. She recovered from TB in her twenties, then worked as office manager at Elliott-Bishop in Toronto. Weekends at the cottage in Muskoka were enjoyed with family. Love surrounded Muriel during her 20 years at Glynnwood Retirement Residence living with Effie, her dearly departed sister, where she never forgot to say "Thank you" to helpers and made everyone laugh with her wit. Muriel will be missed by many nieces and nephews and all whose lives she touched. She was a very special lady. Family and friends may gather at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 19153 Centre St., Mt. Albert (1-800-209-4803), for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11 a.m. In Muriel's memory, donations may be made to The Salvation Army or The Arthritis Society.
