McHUGH, Patrick Shannon On 30 January 2014, peacefully at Mercy Hospice, in his 90th year, surrounded by family. Dearly loved husband of Kathleen, happily married for 64 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Patrick and Pamela, Maryann and Warren, John and Jonathan, Joan and Colin, Maurice and Mary, Paul and Libby. Much loved grandfather of Georgina, Rebecca, Matthew, James, Andrew, Nicholas, Ibby, Samuel, Joshua, Thomas, Jack, Kate, Olivia, William, Henry, Millie, and great grandfather of Andrew. Rest in Peace. To celebrate Pat's life, a Requiem Mass will be held at St Francis de Sales and All Souls Catholic Church 2a Albert Road, Devonport on Tuesday, 6 January 2015 at 11.00am. Just heard the sad news of Pat's death. While I have never met any of the McHugh family, I did learn quite a lot about Pat and his siblings through correspondence with Maurice back in the 1980's. (I am a grandson of one of the Shannons who remained in Ireland - Catherine, Pat's grand aunt was my grandmother)

McHUGH, Patrick Shannon. Our precious Dad, Poppa and father-in-law. We will miss you so much, your wisdom, your positive input in every facet of our lives and especially your beautiful smile and wave as we enter the driveway. Thank you so much for making our lives so much richer. Our street will never be the same. We love you Dad, Poppa and Pat. Maurice, Mary, Tom, Jack, Kate and Millie.
