Patricia RULE Obituary

As a young teacher arriving at Laingholm School, I could not have hoped for a better person to make me welcome than Paddy. I remember her many kind acts, hearty laugh and how proud she was of her family.
My thoughts have been with you all. Rest in peace Paddy.

Our sincere condolences to all of Paddy's family. She was a wonderful warm person and a great friend to Dawn. Dawn has fond memories of her time with Paddy at Laingholm Primary School and more recent memories of regular get-togethers at the RSA for lunch. Dawn also enjoyed her visits to see Paddy and friends at Cornwallis. Paddy will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

I have wonderful memories of Paddy and Graeme as the best neighbours possible when they first moved with their young brood to live at Cornwallis and for many years after. They were wonderful supports to my parents as they aged, and maintained their relationship well after my family moved. My sympathies to John, Corrine, Catherine, Bronwyn and Robyn and families. Paddy was a larger than life character, always willing to go the extra mile to help and support others. It is a testament to the esteem in which she was widely held when I had to forgo attendance at her funeral because it was just impossible to find parking anywhere in the wider area surrounding the venue. Fond memories.

Dear Paddy,
I will miss our regular lunch catch-ups very much. Sadly Covid put restrictions on these special times over the past couple of years. Life will be different now, without you in it. We remember you as a kind, honest, generous, forthright, and loving lady who valued family life above all. You missed your special man Graeme very much, and we hope you are together again, and
somewhere out there the words "oh Graeme" will be heard again as Graeme gets admonished for teasing you with his cheeky sense of humour.
