Patricia RICHARDSON Obituary

RICHARDSON, Patricia Mary (nee McDonald). Passed away peacefully on 7 July 2022, in Auckland, aged 84 years. Beloved mum to Anne-Marie and Paul. Grandma to Honor, Benjamin, Alexander, Jessica and Luke and great-grandma to Ellis. Aunt to Sean, Janine and Lorraine and to the many nieces and nephews of the Richardson, McDonald and Ganley families. In accordance with Pat's and the family's wishes, a private cremation has been held. The family will arrange for a service of remembrance later in 2022 in Wellington, to enable friends and relatives to meet and celebrate Pat's extraordinary life. Following Pat's wish, she will be interred with her adored parents John (JV) and Jean McDonald. Our thanks to the staff at Radius Taupaki Gables home for their care of Pat. I´m so sad to hear of Pats passing, she was so near to where I lived I could have visited her. She was a great friend for many years. I first met Pat when she was a Brand Manager for Innoxa/Coty when she was living in Forrest Hill. Her move to Milford where we shared so many memories then moving to Wellington to be near her beloved brother. Pat was the kindest lady I have ever known, always a smile and so helpful to everyone.

My sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Patricia Richardson. I worked with Pat in the office at Thomson's Silk Shop, Wills Street, Wellington, 1957-60, and we occasionally met up in much later years. She was always kind and thoughtful, especially to younger, and more vulnerable than herself. God be with you all, and may she rest in peace.
