Paio TEI Obituary

TEI, Paio (Papa). Born 11 August; aged 90. Passed away peacefully at home Monday 30th July 2012, Mangaia, Cook Islands. Beloved son of the late Teinamate and Pau'nui. Treasured husband of the late Mama Kereni. Loved brother of the late Kapi, Ngatamariki, Tangimetua and Tata'i. Dearest father of his 12 children: Tei, Kimi, Teina, Tepaeru, Tangi, Noo, Broadway, Apaina, Ora, Anu, Tua and Paio IV. Precious grand, great and great great papa of many. We will miss you so much dad. You have inspired us in many ways with your love, caring, humble and wisdom. Words cannot express the way we feel about you. You are now joined together in paradise with mum, no more pain and safe in the hands of our Lord. We will honour your memories forever. A memorial service for Papa will be held at the Cook Island Christian Church, Otara, 14a Reagan Road, Manukau on Saturday 4th August 2012 at 5pm. Refreshment provided after service.
