I thank God for your friendship and teachings. It was you who planted in my heart the seed of my vocation to the priesthood. Ko te tumanako kai te piki te ora ki a koe i nga wa katoa.

I never knew Pa personally but i have heard alot about him as he is my nanas first cousin by the name of Beverly Joseph the whanau sends our love to the family and friends of pa. You will dearly be missed

Aue! aue! Mamae toku ngakau e Pa. You will be devastatingly missed. You were a pillar for Maoridom; you were a great worker for our Lord. I will always hold you dear to my heart and will never forget the wonderful inspirational leader you were and still are. Rest in peace e Pa. You have run your race and are now safe in the arms of your loving Lord. Haere e Pa; haere ki to moengaroa; haere i o tupuna, haere, haere, haere. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Pa Tate impacted on so many lives in his early days in Gisborne.He gave strength to others bless him for his earthly struggles and reward him for all his goodness shared . everyday we all need to ask for unconditional love.Helen and John Kingi.

The Kapeli family were Blessed when you came into our lives Pa, you shared the good and sad times with us, but you have left us with such happy memories that will be in our hearts forever. Much Aroha to all the Tate Family at this sad time.
