I wanted to share a couple of memories of mine with your family Norm. I first met you when I was little girl with my Dad (Graham Whitburn). You graciously let my Dad keep his horse Gidget on your land in Settlement Road. Many children enjoyed a ride on Gidget back then. In you return you only asked that he maintain the upkeep of the paddock and it only required a handshake.
You were the first to share your story of how you came to reside at Summerset Village and make Dad feel welcome on his first Happy Hour on Friday night 5 years ago. The first to check in with him when Dad returned from hospital. I´ll always remember the birthday card you brought up to Dad, handwritten by you with pretty horse stickers all over it
I miss our little chats from whenever I saw you tending to your beautifully cared for plants and flowers
A beautiful caring soul who had a lot more joy to spread.
So sad that I was unable to attend your farewell. To Adele and families so sorry for your loss. May your memories keep you strong and bring you joy as time goes on.

Loving memories of Uncle Norm a kind and caring man. Will always remember him when papering a cake tin as he supplied his sister Lorraine with the big end of rolls. I watched your farewell from Australia today it was the most beautiful and amazing tribute to your life I new you were great but to hear so many speak so highly of you was beyond amazing you truly were King of the Road. You would have been so proud of your family Uncle Norm they gave you a perfect send off. Rest In Love and peace be with you

One of life's genuine caring Gentlemen.I loved receiving Flowers, Onions and Chocolates etc over our time in Summerset. He was a great support person for me during a tough time in my life. Was an honor to spend time with him on his last day. He has left behind a beautiful Family of which he was so proud.

I was saddened to hear of Norms passing. We had kept in touch, since we had shifted from Papakura.Norm put his heart and soul into everything he did, from his job,at Wiljef and his role as Club Captain and later,as Patron at PRFC.The Club owes him a huge debt, with his contribution to building our present Clubrooms, where he put in countless hours. I will miss his regular updates of the happenings of the Club and stories of how he was going with the Rugby picks or the Christmas raffle. He will be sorely missed by all.I am gutted I cannot be at the funeral,as I am presently unable to drive, but rest assured I will thinking of you all on this sad occasion
