Norma Grosse Obituary

Norma Lee Grosse (nee Kirby), passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023 at the age of 98. She was born January 6, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John C. and Louise V. (nee Mills) Kirby. Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, W. Jack Grosse, siblings; Winifred Tabor, Jack Kirby and Caroline Wilson; and her beloved cat, Tom. Dear mother to her surviving children, Doug and Lisa Grosse; grandmother of Steve (Ann) Grosse, Anna Grosse (Jim Bachleda), Megan, Will and Sean Kennedy; great grandmother of James, Ava, Cora, Miles, and one more “in the oven”.

For many years, Norma resided in the Mt. Lookout and Hyde Park neighborhoods. She was a longtime member of the Hyde Park United Methodist Church. Norma enjoyed drawing and sketching as a creative artist. She travelled to many destinations including Hawaii, Alaska and Europe and always looked forward to annual family trips to Maine and Longboat Key, Florida. Her vivacious, optimistic and supportive spirit will be greatly missed, remembered and celebrated!

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
