Norma FORMAN Obituary

FORMAN, Norma Queen. Born 11 December 1929 in Kurow to William (Bill) and Vera O'Brien and died 28 December 2023. She came to Auckland and married Vincent 8 October 1955. A loving and loved sister of Arthur, Avis, Colin, John, Doug and Lawrie, all deceased. She was the best mum to Bill, Kay, Joy and Gary who taught us independence and generosity. A great giver of hugs, treats and money to spend on anything we wanted as Nana to: Sean and Danielle (Bill and Marion); William, Gillian, Nicola, Veronika, Rosemary, Nathan and Annaliese (Kay and Bill Tracey); Elizabeth, Daniel, Joshua, Ryan and Alex (Joy and Lindsey Millar); Vincent, Jonathon and Lily (Gary and Tonya). And for her great grandchildren: Cayley, Arden and Everdeen; Samuel, Juniper and Evangeline; Malachi; Jackson, Lucia and Joseph; Aubree and Harry; the little wriggler. She worked hard; rabbiting with her dad, tailoring, taxi driving, running a dairy, fruit picking in Aus, caring for elderly and helping out as a neighbour and friend. For many years she was an active member of the West Coasters and Strand Darts clubs. For fun she enjoyed a bet on the horses or at the casino, loved a game of cards and was our champion at chinese checkers. We were lucky to have her in our lives, will miss her and love her forever. As she wished a cremation has been held and we will picnic in her honour.
