Thinking of everything that Norma had done for me as a beginning teacher at Kaikohe West along with the most beautiful, caring and hardcase person. She taught me a lot.

So sorry to hear of the passing of such a wonderful inspirational lady. Norma was a stalwart of Life Education Trust Far North, a passionate leader who spent many hours volunteering to ensure the programme was available to every child in the Far North. It was a pleasure to work alongside her and gain so much knowledge and support to ensure the mobile classroom and Harold continued their important role in the community. Our condolences to all the family from Diane Henderson and the Trustees of Life Education Trust Far North.
The National Service Centre of Life Education Trust also pass on their condolences, saddened to hear of the passing of one of their Lifetime members.

So many memories, school, netball, Friday night sleepovers for work, your sometimes naughty dog, and most of all your ever present support.
It meant so much for you to make sure every child was included and have opportunities, the encouragement to get into umpiring, coaching, and generally participate, giving back to the sports, and in particular BOI netball.
Far less eloquently than Chicky, you touched so many lives and generations, our community is less without you in it.

Moe mai ra, Norma.
I read of your passing with a heavy heart, having known you all my life. You were always an inspiration to me, and I am a better person for having known you.
From my early days at Kaikohe East School as an eager five-year-old netballer, you were a guiding presence. Your dedication and passion left an indelible mark on me. Today, as the Principal of Kaikohe East School, I carry forward the values and lessons you imparted.
Your unwavering commitment to netball, especially through your foundational role with the Wanderers Netball Club and the Bay of Islands Netball Association, showcased your dedication to nurturing talent and fostering community spirit. Your efforts ensured that many young players had the opportunity to participate and grow in the sport.
Although we hadn´t seen each other as often since you moved to the Village in Kerikeri, you were frequently in my thoughts and conversations. Your influence remains ever-present.
I will always remember your firm yet fair guidance, your distinctive brown suits, and the countless memories we shared. Rest in peace, Norma. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those you´ve touched.
