Norah O'BRIEN Obituary

O'BRIEN, Norah Imelda (nee McGreal). On the 15th of March 2024, at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village, passed peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Bill and loving mother of Bill, Denise (deceased), Michael, Martin, Maree, Paul, Kevin, Anne, Bernadette, Louise, and Jennifer. Nana to 26 wonderful grandchildren and 21 precious great-grandchildren. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9 Heartfelt thanks for the loving care from the staff at Bruce McLaren. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, 24 Picton Street, Howick on Wednesday 20th of March at 1.30 pm. A rosary will be held at the church on Tuesday 19th of March at 7.00 pm.

Mum your life was dedicated to giving. You gave us all the gift of life. The favourite one I loved was the gift of words. Poetry, Spoken, Commentary, Sayings, Lyrics, all books and reading in general - Crosswords Standard or Cryptic - you gave us the lot and in so doing showed us a pathway into the the worlds of Knowledge and Entertainment.
