Nola MCLEAN Obituary
MCLEAN, Nola Margaret. Formerly Hamblyn, nee Moore Nola passed away peacefully on Tuesday 27th April 2021 at Puriri Court Rest Home, Whangarei, aged 90 years. Loved wife of the late Rex McLean. Very proud mother of her five sons, Tony, Wayne, Michael, Kerry and Brent Hamblyn and their families. Loved stepmother of Dorothy, Patricia, Glenis (deceased), Barbara, Kim and their families. Gratitude and thanks to the caregivers and nurses at Puriri Court Rest Home for their kindness and care of Nola for the last few years. A service to remember and celebrate Nola's life will be held in the Chapel of Maunu Crematorium, Cemetery Road, Maunu, Whangarei at 2.30 pm on Saturday 29th May 2021. I worked for NOLA at Ebbett Park Motel. She took me under her wing. I worked there for a few years as a teenager. I have many wonderful memories of her and Rex. They were so good to me and I've often thought of them even thirty years later. I regret losing contact with them as I would have loved to have had them in my life for much longer. Sorry to hear about her passing. I looked her up a few times, but couldn't find them obviously until the obituary turned up.
