Nigel CHARTERS Obituary

Charters, Nigel John. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his partner Ana and friends at St Thomas' Hospital, London on the evening of 28 October 2025. Dear brother of Rodney, son of Roy and Shirley (New Plymouth). A life well lived with a passion for journalism and life. You will be sorely missed. Farewell friend.

Nigel you (and your family) were a revelation to me in 1963: down Rogan St and left into Ridge Lane I first listened to the Beatles, and later the "First Edition". Wow! Rodney! Then Roy took us both to Auckland to see Shirley in the shiny new Mk IV Zrphyr! wow wow! Life changed. Many stories to be told, but thank you for being a significant part of my growth in those years. Will miss your visits.
