Nigel CHAMPION Obituary

CHAMPION, Nigel Howard. 1951-2025 Cherished husband and soulmate of Francie; deeply loved father of Harry and Rob; adored grandpa of Emily, Thea, Emlyn, Emile and Vinnie; loved stepdad of Alan and Denni; father-in-law of Trilby, Sophie, Dana and Eva; brother of Veronica; family of Gavin, Innes and Raynor. Suddenly on Saturday 15 November 2025, in North Shore Hospital, after a massive stroke. Surrounded by close family, he didn't suffer. Funeral Service to be held at 2pm, Monday 24 November, in the Birkenhead R.S.A., before cremation on the Tuesday 25 November. In lieu of flowers, donations to Women's Refuge, as per Nigel's wish. Francine & family, so sorry to hear this sad news. I generally remember Nigel having a smile on his face & have a particular memory of Vin chanting 'Harry, Harry Champion,' & the very small Harry greatly enjoying the moment - as did the rest of the family, sat round the table.
