Neil VICKERS Obituary

VICKERS, Neil Died peacefully aged nearly 86, on 3 March 2016 at Auckland Hospital with his family at his side. Loving husband for 62 years of Glennis. Beloved father and father-in-law of Kath and Bob Bolton, John and Sharon Vickers, Ross and Cathy Vickers, Sue and Bob Wilshire, and Jenni and Peter Marsh. Dearly loved grandfather and friend of Lucy and James, Richard and Anna, Charlotte, Tim and Isa, Michael, Andrew and Bridget, Brad and Robin, Chris and Kirsty and Tyler, and dear friend to Stephen, Josie, Kelly and the late Daniel. Thanks to St John Ambulance, North Shore Hospital and Auckland Hospital who saved his life more than once; special thanks to the staff and residents of Eden Village for their care and friendship in recent months; and grateful thanks to extended family, friends and colleagues who brought purpose and pleasure to his life. A good man gone to rest. A service to celebrate Neil's life will be held at the Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road Northcote, on Saturday 12 March at 1pm.
