Neil RINGWOOD Obituary
RINGWOOD, Neil. For 60 years Neil Ringwood hadn't had a single thing wrong with him - not even a flu. Then at 62 he had a stroke that left his right side permanently disabled, his speech impaired, andconfined to a wheelchair. 18 months later he received a diagnosis of stage four esophageal cancer - no connection to the stroke but equally as shocking. After two different kinds of chemotherapy, he decided to move forward with medically assisted dying to bring the situation back into his own control. He leaves behind two wonderful children, Madeleine and Zachary, each special and perfect in their own ways. The only thing he is sad about is that they're not fully baked as adults yet, and he won't be here see it when they are! But oh well. They are fantastic humans. He lived a wonderful life with humour, grace and dignity. He is dearly, dearly missed.
