Neil MUIR Obituary

MUIR, Neil Charles. (Santa Claus) of Papakura, born May 28, 1934 passed away on May 21, 2016 in Sydney, Australia after a long illness. Dearly loved by his children and their spouses Angela and Robert, Greg and Julie, and Deborah and Rob; grandchildren Holly and Sam, Nadia and Ashley; step- children Andrea, Fiona, Juliet, and Claire; nephew Brendon; and in-laws Janet and Ray and Joye. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara, brother Stewart, mother and stepfather Mary and Bob. A memorial service will be held at Papakura East Presbyterian Church, 85 Settlement Road, Papakura on Saturday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Alzheimers New Zealand would be appreciated and may be sent to P.O. I was sorry that I have only heard of the passing of Neil. I am the daughter of PEGGIE and Bryan Nash of Papakura. Mum and Neil worked together in Real Estate and had the same birthday which gave them smiles. End of another great Era. Thoughts with you.

Sad to hear of Neil's passing but many happy memories of days at Papakura East. Especially remember the two occasions Neil employed me when I saw no way ahead and he took me on - without my having any experience. Condolences to you all on Neil's passing. Many memories from Papakura days and Church activities especially heading off on Sunday school or maybe it was bible class picnics in the Kombi with Neil at the wheel! Special regards to Angela, Brendon and Janet.
