I can remember Neil´s mum saying to me that "Neil will always be happy if he has money in his pocket and a race book in his hand , hurrying to the races". Love to all that enjoyed him.

Neil - I remember the days when you kept the "Letters to the Editors" section in the Friday Flash days abuzz with your take on the issues of the week; your contribution in prose on my show "Tracktalk" both during the Radio Pacific days and on Trackside and your love in general of NZ's racing history.
RIP

Neil - I always enjoyed your quirky racing stories and your love of racing generally. You also kept the Trackside team 'on guard' with your opinion and comment. We appreciated that. RIP. Tim Aldridge

Even though I haven't seen Neil walking hurriedly along Willis Street for a long time now, I felt in touch when I would hear his request for some musical piece being played on the concert programme. I enjoyed his selection. I will miss that link which brought me and others a lot of pleasure. .
