Uncle Neale was always concerned with keeping in touch, he had a special relationship with our Dad (Joe) and would visit down here from time to time and they would do the circuit of the South Island together, which kept him in touch with us as well. We were always entertained by his wit and interesting anecdotes, His regular phone calls will be sorely missed and the updates on family news, Sue and I send our sincere condolences to all the family.

Many memories of a special Pop to me,Great Pop to Zennon & Taneka and Great Great Pop to Milah who was such an amazing man with an awesome sense of humor.The thing that amazed me most in recent years was when I saw you 2 years ago & you gave me a hankerchief that I had made for you when I was a kid -you had held onto it for 40 odd years ( never used it ) what amazing thing to do I will treasure it forever love & miss you always.Your eldest Grand daughter Tracey(Lydiard)Mewes... Neal has been a wonderful friend for many years, he was always kind and generous and will be sadly missed by Mal & Sue and Clyde whom he became a very good friend of in later years.

Poppy, I will remember you for your amazing zest for life, your somewhat dodgy sense of humour! but most of all the love you had for your family, RIP From your granddaughter Jodie XXX

Neale was a great friend for over thirty years of our parents, Dennis and Eilene Watson in Christchurch. After our Mum died nine years ago, Neale kept in regular contact with us. He was a funny, kind and generous man who we will miss dearly. Our warmest thoughts are with Neale's family on the loss of a very special man.
