Neil GIBBS Obituary

GIBBS, Neil Howard. On Friday 18 January 2019 at Matamata, aged 72 years, Cherished husband of Joan Roseland. Neil was much loved by his sons, Andrew and Roland; and his stepchildren, Christine, Jannine, Anna and Christopher. Neil and Joan shared 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Neil's life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church 6 Hohaia Street, Matamata at 1pm, on Saturday 26th January. Neil's family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Pohlen Hospice, the family would appreciate donations to Pohlen in lieu of flowers. Joan. I was recently made aware of Neil's illness and am sorry I did not get around to getting in touch with you sooner.

I have fond memories of mum speaking so fondly of Neil and the laughs you, Neil and mum had together.

You have always been such a positive soul, so chin up, and keep those memories in a special place.

Rest In Peace Neil, and condolences to Joan and the family. We didn't know Neil well, or for long, however from the contact we had with him in Diamond Jewellers Neil was a lovely man.

We first met exactly 50 years ago in Sydney. The start of a unique and happy friendship. We cherish the lifelong memories of the many occasions we shared together. We know how proud you were of your two sons Roland and Andrew.
Due to Larrys present incapacity, we are unable to say goodbye in person on Saturday. RIP mate.
