GARDINER, Neil Robert (Blub). We are saddened to announce the passing of Neil (Blub) Robert Gardiner. He passed away at Auckland City Hospital on Sunday, 17 November 2024, after a 20-year battle with heart disease, at the age of 62. Beloved father of Zane and Dana. Cherished brother to Peter, Andrew, and Lorraine. Loving son of Vi and Harry. A dear friend to the many who knew him. A service to celebrate Neil's life will be held at the Hamilton Park Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, 28 November 2024, at 1:00 pm. All who wish to attend are warmly invited. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Auckland City Hospital, especially those in the CVICU and CCU, for their dedication and compassionate care. Special gratitude also goes to the team at Hearty Towers for their incredible support and kindness during Neil's journey. Lastly, we thank the new family he found during his transplant process for their unwavering support and connection.
