Neil DALY Obituary

DALY, Neil Alastair. The family regretfully announces the death of their much loved and respected husband, father and grandfather. Primary school teacher at schools in Auckland, Papakura, Waikato and the Manawatu; Guidance Counsellor at Whangaroa College, Pompallier Catholic College, and Taipa area School. Born in Shanghai, China 28 March 1937, Died in Whangarei 22 June 2014. Eldest son of George and Charlotte, brother of Jenny and the late Andrew, Patrick and Timothy. Husband of Ann, father and father in-law of Andy and Kate, Robert and Sarah, Terry and Jen, Matthew and Georgina. Grandfather of Samantha, Georgia, Joshua, Cooper, Jacob, Ben, Charlotte, and Lucas. The family is extremely grateful for the support of the staff of the renal unit at Whangarei Hospital. Neil dealt with serious and complicated health issues, with dignity and courage and is an inspiration to his family. A requiem mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church, cnr of Park Ave and Kamo Rd, Whangarei, at 11.30am on Friday 27 June 2014.
