Mark Brady Neil´s cousin. When Neil was in his prime playing for ponsoby rugby club, Auckland team and All Black trialist I spent a quite a few days at our house talking to him and going for fitness runs through the roads around Avondale and Blockhouse bay. Neil was a bit older than me and encouraged me to train hard and gave lots tips on tackling and how to run with power. Neil was always a very kind person and gave 100% to all of his endeavours and family. I was always remember running with him struggling to keep up and listening to his tips to improve my football skills. Always be remembered as a big powerful man with a determination to succeed. RIP Neil.

Neil came to Teachers Senior A from Ponsonby A rugby with Eric Boggs, as captain. We bonded, a relationship which endured when he moved near Dargaville horse training and I became the local MP.
Neil was safe under a high ball on Eden park. At Alexander park he also survived a few " high balls ", consistent with the fighting spirit that made Neil Brady a tough opponent.

My condolences to his family.
