Murray was a great friend and colleague who I will always remember with admiration for his technical expertise, his fairness as a businessman, and gratitude for his generosity of spirit as employer and empathy with those in difficulty. I worked with him during his time as General Manager at Consolidated Electronics in Otahuhu where he ran a tight but fair ship. Subsequently I communicated with him on many occasions as fellow amateur radio operators, when he used call sign ZL1HI. Murray was an early member of the Wellington VHF Group with call sign ZL2THW where he enthusiastically helped the team operate remote field day stations for several years. Condolences to Jan and the family.

What seems a minute ago, which is actually about 30 odd years, my husband and I met up with Murray at Great Barrier, I knew Murray thru business, and he assisted us with our motor boat which had electrical issues. Condolences to the family

Sadder than sad that my cousin has passed away. Always loved catching up with him. Glad we did a surprise visit to Great Barrier a couple of years ago to see him. He will be missed. Rest peacefully Murray. Love and hugs Glenda x
