RUNDLE, Murray Douglas. Murray died on 8 February, 2022, peacefully at our home, aged 72, after enduring a recurrence of a cancer. Murray was very much loved by Wendy, Sam who died 16 months ago, Tom and Maddy and a special Pop to our precious grandson, Hugh. He was a great brother, uncle and friend to many. Murray had a full life, pursuing many interests and sharing a love of the outdoors with our boys, including his passion for skiing holidays. He loved reading, gardening, and loved to share his cooking with family and friends, over a glass of red. Over the past 20 years Murray has endured 5 major cancers, surviving against the odds, with such a positive attitude and resilience whilst exploring every possible treatment. Alas, his last cancer was too aggressive. Special thanks to all of the medical teams who have cared for Murray, especially Richard Doocey, Leanne Berkahn and the Haematology team. We thank Mercy Hospice for the palliative care for his last five days, and our wonderful friend Tricia, who helped us to nurse him. As per Murray's wishes he will be privately cremated, and a celebration of his life held with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cancer Society.
