Murray was my longest and best friend, for nearly 60 years in fact. We met at primary school, and quickly established a firm friendship that has endured to this day. We have celebrated each other's big life moments, and I am proud to name Murray as an inspiration. He has shown unfaltering love for Peta, Anton, Barry and Helen and family, and his wonderful parents Brian and Joyce. Murray has always been hard-working, scrupulously honest, fun, perceptive, loyal and respectful. In doing so he has set a great example for Anton to continue the Kivell story well into the future. Well done, Murray - you have done wonderfully well with your life. We will miss you dearly, but always remember you with the utmost affection and pride.

Dear Peta and family. I was very saddened to hear of Murray's passing and sorry not to be able to make the farewell service. He was a lovely bloke and I very much enjoyed his company whenever we met up, mostly on our strategic retreats. He fought his illness with typical dignity and grace - I will always remember him. Fondest regards.
