I most remember Sir Murray at his home in Auckland where I attended ballet lessons with his wife, Lady Phyllis. He always had a cheery disposition and a quick wit. My sincere condolences go out to Lady Phyllis and her children. May he rest in peace.

I was lucky enough to be able to work for Sir Murray in the early years of Halberg Trust. Over the years I hope he considered me as a dear friend because that what he was to me. In my life I have only met a few people that truly has moana and magical eyes that can see everything. He saw something in me that I didn't even know I had. He didn't see my cerebral palsy, he saw my ability to do the job well and that made all the difference to my career. I owe Sir Murray so much and love he forever! Love Stacey Roche
