Murray GRAY Obituary

GRAY, Murray James (Murray). Born 20 January 1943. Died 8 August 2023. A life lived richly in words and reflections. Cherished partner and soulmate of Naomi McCleary. Loved brother of Colleen, Jan and Bob. Pater Familias to Rachel, Simon and Jemima and a brood of grandchildren and great grandchildren. As he wished, Murray (Muz) has been privately cremated. There will be a wake, a gathering, for friends and family to share stories of his life. Details to follow. Heartfelt thanks to the team at Terence Kennedy House for the love and care they gave Murray to the end.

We as a family are very sorry to read of the passing of Murray Gray. I think I only meet Murray once at a family reunion many years ago and also remember having a telephone conversation with him possibly 5 - 10 years ago about a family photo. I will always be extremely grateful to him for his writing and publication of the book of Reflections, Thoughts and Daydreams of Wm Gray, my Great Grandfather. I often refer to this book/diary in my family history research. Rest in Peace Murray Christine Crosbie. 027 279 9288
