Muoi HUA Obituary

HUA (Ly), Muoi. On September 27, 2013, suddenly, after a short illness. Dearly loved mother of Vang, Ying and Young and grandmother of Rikka, Saaartje and Maxximo. Much loved friend of Terry, Diane and Annabel Snow. Muoi and family came to Auckland in the 1970s as Vietnamese refugees. They have contributed hugely to the community since then, including opening the pioneering Vietnamese Mekong Restaurant. Muoi will be greatly missed. The family have held a private cremation. A memorial service for Muoi will be held on Sunday October 6 at 1.30pm at Mt Roskill Wesley Methodist Church, 276 Mount Albert Road. Messages to the family via 021 955 209. Muoi left us for a special place. She left peacefully, filled with love and surrounded by her loved ones. At rest.

May all the good memories be remembered at this time of passing away of a lovely lady. I will always remember the great crab dishes she was involved in serving at the Mekong Restaurant in Queen Street.
