Molly, retired nurse, mother, wife and aunty to the Adams bunch. Before qualifying as a nurse, Molly started her working life in Spearings Shop in Waihi.

Molly always answered the phone to us both with great delight, just one of the many ways that Aunty Molly went out of her way to make us feel special. She just has a natural way for making everyone she knew feel important to her. On more than one occasion in the last few years, we were able to facetime her with family, always grateful for those shared memories. On those sessions she would share her childhood stories (and the Adams ones!) with no boundaries, often having us in fits of laughter. She managed to tell the story as it was, with honesty and dignity, but just as importantly humour and love.

She was a real inspiration to us all. She understood every member of the family and had a sixth sense about how to support each one of us whenever we needed that extra hug or encouragement. She was always there, no matter the circumstances. Even during those last months of her life, she was the one who comforted all of us and reassured us. Even when she forgetfully dropped her hearing aids into a cup of tea instead of her case.

We are so grateful and blessed with our time with her.
