Sending loving kindness to you Bonnie Louise, Debbie and Julie and to your whanau. Your dad was kind to our family. He was one of the first to buy my dad Jack Chong's Seasoning. It was a new idea, Chinese marinade in a bottle. Dad and mum had cooking demonstrations in the Otahuhu Foodtown. Also, at 4am my then husband Kim Gee, and I helped dad inject Chinese seasonings into chickens in the freezers in the Otahuhu Foodtown. We would emerge very very cold and have breakfast in the cafe. It was actually a really nice family bonding time for us. We enjoyed the novelty and were curious about the surroundings. Being in the "back working hum" of the supermarket was exciting. Later, being a solo mum in South Auckland, I always shopped at Foodtown with kids in tow. We have many memories of Friday night shopping in Otahuhu at Foodtown. It was our family activity. Do you remember, I came to your house and took a family portrait one year. That was a long time ago. In recent times it has been a pleasure to become reacquainted through the Lifestyle group. Molly was always so welcoming in her conversations with me and Jeanette Chan, my sister in law. Remembering Molly with fondness. She was a woman of good heart. Being at her memorial and funeral on Friday has shown she and Thomas have left a legacy of good ethics and strong family connection. Celebrating you, Bonnie and all your family for your talents and beauty and good hearts. We will miss Molly but her kind legacy remains.
