Moira POOR Obituary
POOR, Moira Llewellyn. Passed away on the morning of the 16th of February 2026 at the age of 100. Moira was the mother of sons Richard, Alan, Christopher, Jonathan and her late son Stephen. She was grandmother to Jengis, Emma, Jake, Henry, Edith, Esme, Leon, Nicola, Julian, Sashinka, William, and Mary, and much-loved Nana to fifteen great-grandchildren. Moira lived a long and full life, taking her children on many expeditions such as viewing the white herons at Okarito and a voyage to Polynesia on the Tofua. She studied English at the University of Auckland, ran an antique shop in Greenlane, and continued to read mysteries and watch classic movies into her hundredth year. Moira inspired us all with her caring, kindness, courage, and passion. Her deep love for her family was gratefully reciprocated. In loving memory always.
