Dear Carol. We were shocked and sad to hear of Mikes passing. We have lovely memories of a day spent with you and Mike before your new home was built. I think about it often. The lovely lunch we had and then Mike took us out in the boat for a tootle around the lake.

So long Mike... it has been a few years since our association at the Auckland City Council and the many fun filled and wonderful water skiing holidays here at Lake Okareka. Those memories and happy times have lived with me all my life and I am often reminded through songs by the Little River Band, a refreshing gin and tonic, the sound of 1970's car air horns or the sight of a colony of frogs with heads sticking up in the long grass! From what I read, you have been a hard working, community minded person and that you found real happiness here with Carol. You will be missed by many Mike and we all wish you a safe journey...

Dear Mike

I was shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. We worked together at Council and became good friends. I remember our holidays at Okareka very fondly, trout fishing and water skiing......"they were the days my friend"
Our condolences to you Carol and Kim.

Dear Carol, dear Kim
It was a great shock to hear of Michael's death this morning. My condolences to you both. Michael was indeed a friend of many. He was a treasured friend of all our family since our childhood and he and Carol provided wonderful support to my parents in their old age at Raumati Road. Although our paths did not often cross in adult years, I have many happy memories of short visits to Okareka over the years.
My thoughts with you today and into the future.

Dear Mike
I knew you well for a few years as a young man and the brother of Kim. You were always so smiling and nice and lovely to be around. I was sad to hear of your passing.
