Michael TOWNSEND Obituary

I met Mike about 7-8 years ago when he joined in with a running group I was part of. Mike became part of the Dunedin running community through Park Run and I fondly recall his humour, kindness, humility and the inspiration he was as an older runner showing the way for others. I´m very sad to learn today of his passing. One of life´s good people you feel better for having known.

Dearest Michael ...soar freely my dear friend ..so many memories of adventures together ..you were the nicest funniest kindest smartest man and you will never be forgotten by your running swimming biking mates in Auckland...all those Sat mornings running the tracks and trails of the Waitaks ...stopping to pat every dog ..you were a loved and respected friend to many.
