Michael SUMPTER Obituary

SUMPTER, Michael Howard. Born 25 May 1935 died peacefully at North Shore Hospital 1 February 2018. Devoted husband of his "lovely wife" Lenore. A loving, kind and supportive father of Kristin, Craig and Hilary. Adoring and treasured grandfather of Liam, Rory, Reuben and Flynn. Dearly loved father-in-law and friend of Graham and Garth. A rest well earned. A service for Michael will be held at North Shore Memorial Park, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Wednesday, 7 February 2018 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Women's Refuge at www.womensrefuge.org.nz

Our condolences to Michael's family at hearing only today of his passing so very sad, what a wonderful solicitor and caring person we had many times of selling property over many years and his wonderful professional manner was amazing at such a stressfull time. And we did have some laughter at Grant being a taxi driver Michael had a great sense of humour. Our children will remember him too. Dear Lenore,
I saw the message sent out by the Law Society about Michael's passing and was sorry to read the news.
I always think of mum and her friends being in their forties but time has passed by so quickly.
