Michael STACHURSKI Obituary

I´m in Canada and just heard about Mike´s passing. Mike was an incredibly warm, loving and wonderful person. His encyclopedic knowledge of music never ceased to amaze me. He´s the only non-Canuck who knows who Patsy Gallant is! I will miss our conversations and your wisdom. Goodbye, my friend, I will never forget you.

So sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. Such a shock. Thinking of his family and friends at this time.

Sincere condolences to Mike's Mother, Yvonne, and his family. The thoughts and prayers from the Sacred Heart, Dunedin community who remember Mike are with you all. May he rest in peace.

We remember Mike as a friend and a great character. We met him when he lived in Nelson and have kept in touch since then. Mike´s wonderful memory for song words made him a resource person in the Nelson Folk and Acoustic music scene and his larger than life presence here and at Music Festivals was marvellous. The world has lost a splendid mind and we a lovely friend. Condolences to all of Mike´s family and friends from around the country.

Sincere condolences to Mike's family. Mike was an important member of the tightly knit cataloguing team at Auckland Council Libraries. His knowledge on music, philosophy and religion was encyclopaedic. He added richness to our team and work through his knowledge and his personality. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.

Mike definitely marched to the beat of his own drum.
I´ll miss Mike in our team. Particularly his dry sense of humor, his passion for and knowledge of music, musicians and their lyrics and many other topics. He could and would offer a comment on a wide range of topics.

Condolences to Mike's family and friends. As a team member Mike could be counted on to speak honestly, know the lyrics of a song for every occasion and be a walking wikipedia on his favourite subjects. Your early passing leaves a gap in our lives.
