Vir my liefste oom Rauten,
You made we feel at home in NZ from the first day I arrived here in 2001. Over the years you have done so much for me and I hope you knew how much I appreciated it. When my dad passed away in 2007, you rushed to be by my side and supported me through that. You lived with passion and never did anything halfhearted. You were so much fun to be with and always provided humour and entertainment. I will miss all these things, including the huge hugs. I love you and will never forget you.

Scheffer, Michael Rautenbach. You were there when I wanted to know words. You gave me your big-school books to look in. A generous brother to the end. How you have enriched my life. With love and thanks, Ronel

SCHEFFER, Michael Rautenbach (Michael). Born February 20, 1949. Passed away on July 29, 2021. Goodbye to my Dad, you were our rock. Facing life will be so hard without the feeling of you at my side. Always ready with advice and a smile, no request was too difficult. We relied on you a lot, your heart was huge and kindness unmatched. Love you always, Andrew and Dharsh.
