My sincere condolences to Mikes fiancée and family.

We were very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Mike did some work with us, at Te Pou, a few years back. He generously shared his experiences and talked about relationships with family and support workers. Mike will be missed by many and our thoughts are with you at this sad time. As a fellow disability advocate and sports lover, I am deeply saddened by Mike's passing. He was passionate in all that he did - whether it was following and reporting on sport, or urging us to better our ways of seeing and supporting disabled people. Rest easy Mike.

I met Mike many times in the Members' Lounge at Seddon Park and have warm memories of our conversations. I admired his knowledge of cricket, but above all his determination to do the job of reporting in spite of his disability. He was an inspiration! My condolences to his family.

A great guy and friend. Very stoic and did not let difficulties stop him achieving what he wanted. I will miss his smiling face and our chats at the cricket and our coffee trips.
