Mike, me old friend. Very sad that you have left us. No more catch ups. I remember the fun and laughter we had as young exuberant detective sergeants fighting crime to the best of our abilities in the hard world of the heroin epidemic in the 70's and early 80's. The effort you put into the teams quest to rid NZ of drugs and general crime has always been in my mind. Your honesty and integrity was never questioned. The world today misses people like you who dedicated a large portion of their working lives so New Zealanders today could live in a better society.
Farewell friend.

Mike.
Thank you for being the mentor, friend and guide to a young exheuberant and inexperienced apprentice. You led the way on how it should be done. Always maintaining integrity and honesty and all the good values that many do not possess.
You are so respected by collegueds, friends and adversaries. In the area of Drug investigation you were second to none and you made a significant difference, much of which was achieved in the shadows away from the limelight.
If we had ten more Mike OHAGAN's today the world would be a better place.
Rest easy my friend.
Whakahoki ngawari taku hoa. Te vai ra te hau ta oe e imi ra.
Mike KEEFE.
