Michael and I were best friends for 4 years when we were boarders at Sacred Heart College. He, Chris Peacocke and I roamed the grounds of our new college for our last two years, and ventured far and wide throughout the neighbourhood.
He was a very good fast bowler for our First XV, and we played in the same rugby team in our final year. I recall him being a consistent source of ball from line outs.
We met again when he was a pharmacist in Manukau City Centre where I first met his wife Anne, and more recently in Pukekohe.
It was with sadness I read of his passing but reminisce in the many great times we shared.
Condolences to Anne and family.

It has been with much sadness that I read of Mike's passing. I first came to know him when he reached the School of Pharmacy in Petone in 1962 in which year he completed the qualification he was seeking. He was also a member, and a most valuable one, of the rugby team I coached in that year which won the Wellington Union's Third First Grade. I remember him as an interested and engaging young man and one who brought much credit to the Pharmacy Profession.
He will be sorely missed by pharmacists and friends throughout the country. I extend to his family my heartfely sympathy
