Michael JACKSON Obituary

I met Mike when I joined the Rangitoto in 1965 as Sen 3rd when he was the 2nd Officer - the trip after he met Annette. I learned a lot from him regarding the job which put me in good stead when I was the 2nd Officer a few trips later. I sailed with Mike back in 1960 on 'Northumberland'. He was a good shipmate and I am sorry to hear of his passing

It is with great sadness that I learned today of Michael's passing. I have many happy memories of the time I sailed with Michael in the New Zealand Shipping Company. He was a good companion and a great source of fun.

It is with much sadness to hear of the passing of Mike. I worked with Mike at sea, in the New Zealand Shipping Company, and when we were both employed by the Ports of Auckland. A great person to work with, and much enjoyment was had during the social times we shared. Condolences to the family. May Mike Rest In Peace.
