Michael GARDINER Obituary

GARDINER, Michael John (Mike). Died at his home on Great Barrier Island peacefully and on his own terms, as he lived his life. Mickey will be missed and dearly remembered by his former wife Penny, his son Nick, Nick's wife Colette and sons Thomas and Sean Michael. Also his sister Maryanne, sister-in-law Norma, and Carrie and Scott, and all those ever associated with his tremendous life. A private service was held in Tryphena on 12 September.

Mike was our cousin through marriage. His grandmother married our grandfather in their second marriages for both. Maryanne I'm back in Opunake. Mike was locum chemist here for my father in law and loved the surfing world around our shores.
We kept in touch when we lived in Auckland. We have fond memories Mike. Rest in Peace now
