Rest in peace, Dr. I'm always grateful for your care during my roughest times. Your passion for your work was apparent - you were the best doctor I've ever had.

Only just read about the passing of Dr Mick Eason now. Mick was our GP in Auckland from 1985 when we married to 1994, when we left NZ, and he took care of oir two boys during that time. Such a kind and thoughtful doctor and human being. The world has lost one of the nicest people ever.

The world has lost a kind, gentle and dedicated professional who put the care of his patients above all else including self. My carer, confidee and friend for some 20 odd years. Thankyou Mike for your kindness, your warmth and your genuine interest in my whanua. I will miss you terribly.

I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Hilary and family with the passing of Mick. We only learnt of his passing today; we are deeply saddened.

Mick was a lovely genuine person who had provided valued and supportive care to my mother for many years. A beautiful soul who will be dearly missed.

I am so sad to hear of Dr Micks passing.
I rang today to book an appointment with him but was told that he had passed a month ago.
I was honestly so gutted because he was such a great Dr and person.
Despite my wife and kids going to a different doctors surgery, he always asked about my wife and kids and knew the kids names and their approximate ages.
He used to tell me of his trips to the far north and speak or his family fondly and spending time with them.
Thank you Dr Mick! It was a pleasure to be your patient for the last 20 year!

I remember sitting in the Drs waiting room years ago when the lady beside me asked if I was there to see Dr Mick Eason. When I told her no she went on tell me about how amazing Mick was and how he had saved her life. After we talked I changed my Dr to Mick and I'm so grateful that I did.

Mick was an amazing man and Dr. He treated me and my family with respect, dignity, and he cared. As many others have said he would ask about your family and proudly tell you about his. Mick was truly one in a million.

Thank you Dr Mick Eason for all you did for your patients it won't be forgotten.

We moved hear from the UK in 2012. Mick was an amazing Dr kind friendly and nothing was to much trouble. He wasn't just concerned in you as his patient but also your extended family but shared personal information about his family. We will miss him very much as he was an amazing Dr and a warm caring person. Rest in peace .

Just heard of Micks passing today. This has saddened us all deeply. A wonderfully kind, gentle doctor who really cared about his patients, took time to get to know them, was empathetic and loved his own family deeply-he loved sharing stories and pictures of his grandchildren. Stu would bring oysters for him at Christmas (he always asked how the oysters were growing!). You will be deeply missed Mick. Rest in Love and Peace x

I´m totally shook by Dr Mick Eason passing he was such a lovely doctor one of a kind that´s for sure!

My daughter rang to make an appointment to see Mick today. We didn't know he had passed, the shock has reverberated through my household today. Wonderful Mick, kind, gentle, warm, loving. Mick was a lovely man and well respected doctor at the surgery always enjoyed having a chat to him about the warriors losing or winning and him showing me photos of his batch.my deepest condolences to all his family he will be missed dearly by us all.

Mic was a good friend of mine aswell as my Doctor. We had some good laughs myself and Mic. He was there with me when my wife Amy fell ill and passed and his hugs were at times just what I needed he was always there for me and gave me his personal number should I need to talk to him . I was just thinking of Mic and I tx messaged him last week wondering when he would be back just so I could go back and see him.. my deepest sympathy to his wife and children. He was one cool dude with a beautiful heart .Mic and I will miss my old friend dearly. Rest in Love.

Mick was a respected and loved colleague I was blessed to know and work with for many year. He was also a great friend so supportive generous trusted and kind. He will be missed by us all.
