Michael DRAPER Obituary

DRAPER, Michael Ronald James. Died suddenly at home on Friday 14 March, aged 87. His talent as a furniture designer was only eclipsed by his charm and wicked humour. Will be hugely missed by his partner Rowena, family Richard and Lijie, Simon and Judy, Jeremy, Jennifer (RIP), Robert and Cécile, Emma and Gabrielle, and his many friends and admirers. Private cremation to be followed by a memorial in the coming weeks. Contact [email protected] for details.

Uncle Michael or Michael as we nephews called him was a racing car driver. Although of course many things, that is my most prominent memory of him from when I was a child. May he RIP, condolences to Rowena and family. He was awesome!

We have such wonderful memories of Michael and still have a whiskey every Friday night like we used to have at Simon-J Textiles nearly 50 years ago. And of course the exciting times of car racing. RIP Michael - Ken & Sybil
